Delete your Polenta account

You can request deletion of your Polenta account and associated personal information. We will delete or de-identify account data unless we need to keep limited information for legal, security, backup, or legitimate business reasons.
Delete from the app
If account deletion is available in your version of the app, open Polenta and go to Settings, then choose the account deletion option. This is the fastest way to start deletion because it confirms the account you want to delete.
Delete by email
You can also email hello@polenta.app with the subject “Delete my Polenta account.” Please send the request from the email address associated with your Polenta account so we can verify ownership.
What is deleted
- Your account profile and account identifiers.
- Synced household preferences, meal plans, recipes, grocery lists, pantry items, and notes associated with your account.
- Personal information associated with support requests where deletion is legally and operationally possible.
What may be retained
We may retain limited information when required for legal compliance, security, fraud prevention, billing records, dispute resolution, backups, or other legitimate business reasons. Backup copies may take additional time to expire through normal backup cycles.
Local device data
Deleting your account removes server-side account data as described above. To remove local data from a device, delete the Polenta app from that device after your account deletion has been requested or completed.
